Warm Wax Therapy
Warm wax therapy is a deeply relaxing treatment that hydrates dry and tired feet. Great for cracked heels, chill blains, poor circulation, arthritis, just a great treatment for aching feet.
The Warm Wax Process
First, I warm the wax in a special pod, then brush it onto your feet. The pods of wax are warmed in the Prende ORB in a safe and hygienic environment.
Your feet are wrapped to keep the heat in, which helps soften the skin and soothe the muscles. Once the wax sets, I gently peel it away and give a light massage.
What are the benefits of Warm Wax Treatment?
- You are left with soft, relaxed, and shiny feet.
- Warm wax therapy helps improve blood flow and leaves your skin feeling soft, smooth, and refreshed.
- It helps raise the blood flow to your tired joints and muscles to help you relax and recuperate.
Common Conditions Treated
Athlete’s Foot (Fungal Infection)
Athlete’s foot is a very common skin condition caused by a fungal infection. You may notice white, itchy skin between your toes or sore, flaky patches on the soles of your feet. It can be treated with creams or sprays from the pharmacy, but it often comes back. I can help treat the infection and offer advice to stop it from returning.
Callus and Dry, Cracked Heels
Dry, hard skin often builds up on your heels or the ball of your foot. It can make your skin feel rough, tight, or itchy. You may see flaky skin, fine cracks, or even deep cracks that bleed. I can gently reduce the hard skin and help you create a simple care routine to keep your feet soft and healthy.
Ingrown Toenail
An ingrown toenail happens when part of the nail grows into the skin. It can feel very sore, swollen, or even become infected. If left untreated, it can get worse. I can safely treat the area and guide you on the right nail care and footwear to help stop it from happening again.
Thickened, Long or Curved Nails
As we get older or if there is damage, nails can become thick, curved, or hard to cut. This can make walking uncomfortable and trimming difficult. I can reduce the nail thickness, trim them carefully, and help you feel more comfortable in your shoes.
The Diabetic Foot
If you have diabetes, it’s important to check your feet often. Diabetes can cause nerve damage, especially in the feet and legs. This means you might not feel pain, heat, or cuts. Regular foot checks are important to catch any small problems early. I’m fully qualified and insured to check and care for diabetic feet.
Corns
Corns and calluses are thick, hard areas of skin caused by rubbing, pressure, and repeated friction. They usually form on bony or weight-bearing parts of your feet. They can be divided into 3 types:
Hard corns are painful areas of thickened skin. They usually form on parts of the foot that have high pressure. Hard corns often show up on the tops or sides of your toes, or on the sole of your foot. They are caused by repeated friction, rubbing, irritation and pressure on your skin.
Soft corns are lighter in colour either whitish or grey and feel soft and rubbery. They usually appear between the toes.
Seed corns are small and often develop on the bottom of your feet.
If your corns are sore, I can help treat them and make walking more comfortable.
